Is a new bike price negotiable?

Because new bike prices seem very high, buyers often try to get discount from the dealerships on the listed price.

There might be a possibility of discount, but because motorcycles are imported, there actually is a very narrow profit margin in the price. The same applies to the car market – imports simply have a smaller profit margin.

Sometimes importers might incentivise dealers with a lower cost to boost sales of a specific model and then there might be more discount available.

Dealers have a slightly bigger discount allowance on demonstration models and that would be your best chance of buying a new bike at less than the list price.

But keep in mind that if you’re trading your old bike in, that might reduce the possibility of a discount on the new bike.
