Ducati Scrambler Cafe Racer
Ducati Scrambler Cafe Racer
The Cafe Racer is part of the revolutionary Ducati Scrambler range that changed the motorcycling world in terms of cafe racers. The Ducati Scrambler Cafe Racer is all about style and freedom with colours that takes you back to the sixties. Make no mistake the Cafe Racer is modern, fun and ready to be explored.
Although the number 54-board is dedicated to the legendary Bruno Spaggiari’s Ducati racer, you will be able to customise this and so much more on the Cafe Racer. The aim is for you to have a true feeling of freedom when you choose your Scrambler and customise it to your personal fondness. Some of the elements that you can look to customise are as follows:
Exhaust - here you can change the Termignoni muffler to a sport line racing silencer or you can wrap the manifolds in the heat protection wrap that is guaranteed to complement the sixties feeling.
Enduro parts - these parts (such as the protective mesh of the oil cover, or the aluminium chain cover) are good to customise in case you want to do some off-road riding every now and then. If you are an entry-level rider with minimal experience, investing in the engine steel tube covers can only be to your advantage. All these parts will add protection to your motorcycle.
Racing parts - Billet aluminium frame plugs may seem unnecessary at first, but once you see them on the bike you won’t want to leave the shop without them. Another unique accessory is the fold-away gear-change lever.
Bags for traveling and luggage - Some riders prefer the classic side bag set which you can also get as waterproof. For short distance riding you can look at the Urban enduro magnetic tank bag. If all of this is not enough, there is always the option to add a rear aluminium luggage rack for some extra baggage.
Other items that can be completely customized are the panels and the tank. However, the Cafe Racer “Coffee Colour” black and gold, is such a striking color combination, it would seem wrong to change this. To complement the gold elements in the tank, you can’t help but notice the gold aluminium rims and chequered blocks in the logo. The 17” front & rear rim is also smaller than the normal 18” front rims, with the benefit evident when turning. The smaller rim compliments the light weight Ducati Scrambler Cafe Racer’s handling capabilities even further. The styling is a clear reference to the style of the Rockers that, in those days, sped through the streets of the English capital. Such style normally comes at a steep price, and the Ducati Scrambler Cafe Racer, 803cc motorcycle is selling for approximately R164 000 in South Africa. You may find this price to be quite hefty for such small bike, but there is nothing small about this legendary Ducati Scrambler Cafe Racer!
