The MG TF was produced between 2002 and 2005 and again from 2007 to 2011. It was also named after the 1950 MG TF Midget. The MG TF is based on the MG F platform but has been distinctively redesigned. As opposed to the MGF, the TF abandoned the Hydragas suspension and opted for traditional coil springs and dampers. It was ceased in 2005 when MG Rover went down but reinstated by MG Rover in 2007.
