Hi there,
The Polo GTI is a very nice car and you picked a decent year range as that's when good revisions were made to some problem areas of the car. That being said, it's worth noting that this is going to be a significant jump from what you were paying maintenance wise with the Kwid. Remember that the Polo GTI is a sports car and a turbocharged one at that, so by its nature it will cost more to maintain than its non sport counterpart. Cost figures will vary with this sort of thing because you're also buying a used car and conditions vary from car to car. Take into account more fuel used, premium oil, servicing costs with either VW or an RMI approved Specialist (We'd advise specialists rather for sports cars in our opinion) and wear and tear items like brakes and tyres and importantly, a potential DSG gearbox service. It's going to involve some homework on your part and what you can budget.
We hope this works.
