Hi there,
The engine found in the Polo 1.2TSI can be divided into 2 phases. Pre and Post modification , EA111 and EA211 respectively. With the Pre Modification engines, there were problems with the cylinder headgasket, exhaust cleaning system, control electronics, an increased oil consumption and turbocharger operation. If the vehicle in mind has the EA111, make sure the issues have been covered under warranty. The EA211 corrected said issues so if the vehicle has that engine, you should be fine.
