Hello there,
Ordinarily we’d recommend you visit and RMI-approved workshop to have this problem seen to, but your Skyline is a little older than most.
It’s always tough to diagnose faults like this over email and without seeing the vehicle in person. If the car ran fine for a while and then started giving issues, we can rule out the jetting, idle and mixture screws (for the most part). This sounds like a needle and seat issue where the needle is sticking somewhere or a float issue where the bowl is flooding. Webers are fairly simple in their operation and you should be able to strip it down to inspect for a float that has come off of its perch/hinge or a needle that is amiss. Don’t forget to check that both chokes/butterflies are returning to the closed position and no linkages are fouling or getting stuck open.
