Hi there,
Early Fiesta Ecoboost engines were prone to overheating issues due to the coolant pipes failing at high temperatures. High mileage engines can have fuel pressure issues, loss of engine power and valve damage can happen. The transmission on the 2017 model have been reported to have occasional jerks, slips and shudders but it's intermittent. Some have reported the seat adjustment lever on the front seat came off in some instances. These can be repaired bar the overheating issues which can be problematic and can sometimes lead to a new engine. Generally they can be reliable engines if maintained properly and any issues rectified quickly.
The performance on the 1.0T is noticeably better than the 1.4 and is more fuel efficient. Claimed fuel consumption is rated at 4.3l/100km and 5.7l/100km respectively.
Hope this helps,
