Yes and no. Some finance houses may approve car loans for unemployed borrowers who have other sources of income, healthy credit, a co-signer or a sizable down payment.
At the end of the day, there is an arrangement between the customer and the bank and not necessarily the dealer. Everyone's situation is different so repayment arrangements can be made between the finance house and the customer therefore there's no standard repayment arrangement. As long as you pay agreed amount on agreed dates then all is well.
