Hi there
Between these three options, we'd choose the Toyota Yaris. Unlike many other Toyotas, the Yaris isn't a high-risk vehicle in terms of theft and hijackings, and its long-term operating costs will be lower than those of the Fiat, thanks to Toyota's wide dealer network and strong atermarket support.
Its crime risk is the main factor counting against the VWs, because they're very popular with the long-fingered set. Furthermore, the Polo TSI may also have higher long-term running costs due to the complexity of its turbo engine (and possible DSG transmission issues), even though it's likely to prove the most fuel-efficient in this trio.
The Fiat Tipo does have some upsides, however: due to this brand's poor resale values, you could get a very nicely-appointed, late-model Tipo for a smaller outlay than the others, and if it may even have some of its service plan left. They are very underrated cars, and even though you may end up losing more when the time comes to sell it on, you'll enjoy a nicer car than the same money would buy you elsewhere.
Hope this helps!
