You can buy indeed buy a car, even if you are in Zimbabwe, but it's unlikely that you would be able to finance a car in South Africa unless you have a local address and income. However, you'll need a South African residential address to register it, and then arrange all the documentation to take it over the border for re-registration in your country. We'd advise asking the dealership where you find your dream car to help with these arrangements and transport, as there are a lot of legalities involved!
