Hi there
The Volvo S60 is a very nice car, but you should know in advance that long-term maintenance (especially on a used example) could get very pricey. Older S60s used 5-cylinder engines, which are well-proven, but their electrical systems and suspension components have proven to be an expensive weak spot as they age. Volvo parts are also quite expensive in South Africa.
In short: a used Volvo S60 would be a lovely machine to drive and enjoy, but you will need to set aside around R 1500 every month to build up a cash reserve in case something expensive gives up while you own it. Always buy the newest, lowest-mileage example you can find, should you decide to take the plunge.
Hope this helps!
