Hi there
When comparing the consumption of these two vehicles, the Polo will always come out as the best. The reason is simple: aerodynamics. The Polo's low-drag shape (with its long roof and stubby tail) has less drag than the short-roofed Utility, so it will need less energy (which comes from fuel) to move down the road. The Vivo's engines are also well-known to be very fuel-efficient, but then, so are the Opel-based Chevy engines. This effect will be less pronounced in town, however, because aerodynamic drag has less of an effect at low speeds.
Hope this helps!
