Hi there
Service plans and maintenance plans (motor plan) differ in that service plans only cover the costs of regular, scheduled servicing for the duration of which they are active. A service plan doesn't cover wear items such as brakes and clutch, and doesn't cover any breakdowns which fall outside the normal warranty scope.
A maintenance plan covers all running expenses of a car, except fuel, top-up oil, and tyres. This means that maintenance plan (or as you call it, motor plan) will carry the cost of even wear item replacements (with the exceptions stated above), as well as servicing, unscheduled work and breakdowns.
The cost of these plans, if they are offered, are worked into the car's price, so they don't affect the instalments.
Hope this helps!
