Hi there
The Jeep Renegade is a very capable little SUV that's great to look at and very nice to drive, and it uses well-proven Fiat/Alfa mechanical bits, so it should be fairly reliable. Unfortunately, but depending on your nearest dealership, you may not have a very pleasant aftersales experience - FCA dealerships have a rather bad reputation for aftersales service and spares distribution. But, as we said, this will depend on your nearest dealership, as there are some good dealers out there as well. Maybe you could have a look at Google or HelloPeter to see if there are many complaints about your local dealership?
However, the Tucson will undoubtedly be the more-pleasant long-term ownership experience. These cars are well-designed and well-made, and their dealerships have a better reputation for positive aftersales experiences. Just like the 1.4-litre Renegade, all new Tucsons are FWD only - this change happened with its recent model range update. In this case, you might also want to take a look at the new Hyundai Kona, as this is a really good-looking car as well, and closer in size to the Renegade - and a fair bit less expensive than the Tucson too.
Hope this helps!
