Hi there
It's highly unlikely that the switch from 95- to 93-octane fuel could have damaged your car that expensively - the 1.6-litre Ford Focus had a naturally-aspirated (non-turbo) engine which will happily run on 93 octane (albeit with a possible drop in performance and increase in consumption). Please furnish us with more details regarding the engine failure, including the diagnosis as made by the dealership, because somethings smells fishy in this story...
