Hi there!
If you're looking for a solid, hassle-free ownership experience, any Polo is a good buy. They're mechanically robust, and good backup for them on the aftermarket. The Cross or Maxx variants are mechanically identical to the normal Polos, only with the addition of some extra body cladding and slightly higher ride height, so they will also be durable and dependable.
We would advise you to rather look at Polos with the non-turbo 1.6-litre engine, however, as they're the most problem-free of them all. This would mean rather considering a Polo Vivo (of either of the two generations), but doing so will also save you a fair bit of money - and who doesn't want to save money when buying a car, right?
Hope this helps!
