We can assure you that there are no major and fatal flaws with the ix35 models - they've earned a solid reputation as durable, reliable cars with a long service life as long as they are maintained according to manufacturer requirements. At 60 000 km, they're basically just run in, but around the 160 000 km mark, you'll want to look at timing chain replacement as a preventative measure. Still, that's a small price to pay for a car with no other catches or snags!
