Wow, this was a tricky one - info on such old cars aren't easy to find at all!
According to our research, the W202 C180 Manual had an official average fuel consumption of 8.5 litres/100 km, with a figure of 12.7 litres/100 km in urban use.
Of course, these official numbers have very little relevance to the real world, as these cars have proven to be far thirstier in normal use. You should really add about 20% to the official average figure to get an idea of practical fuel consumption, which will bring it closer to the 10 litres/100 km mark. This is also quite close to what (according to memory) these cars consumed during road testing in the media.
