2012 Kia Picanto EX Manual vehicles currently list between R80 000 and R120 000, depending on condition, mileage, and optional extras. This would mean a trade-in value in the range between R60 000 and R95 000, depending on the dealership's generosity. Your car's mileage unfortunately puts it at the lower end of this scale, so you could expect to receive around R70 000 on trade-in, and the dealership will probably re-sell it for about R95 000. A reasonable value in a private sale would be between R75 000 and R100 000.

In a private sale, you should be able to get around R110 000 for this car (if it's in excellent condition), possibly negotiating down to R100 000 if the buyer brings actual cash. Your trade-in value will be between R85 000 and R95 000, so it's worth the hassle of selling it privately.
