It is best to get several quotes before settling on an insurance policy - cheapest isn't always best. Check that the excess (the shortfall amount payable by yourself in the event of a claim) is not too high and affordable and that the coverage is comprehensive. Third Party insurance will only cover the other vehicle and you will still be liable for the costs to repair your own vehicle. Some insurance companies have rewards schemes in place to reward you for not claiming. This can be useful if you have a particularly good track record.
