Servicing your car regularly will help to keep your car running the way it should, which in turn should help with fuel consumption. But there are many tips and tricks to help you save fuel. Never drive with a boot full of heavy stuff if it isn't necessary. Your driving style and speed play a big part as well. Driving fast and then slamming the brakes at the red light wastes a lot of energy. Using cruise control and driving with closed windows helps too. If you need to tie objects to your car, rather tie them on the back than on top, so your car's drag coefficient is lower, resulting in less wind resistance and in turn, lower fuel consumption. If you ever find yourself somewhere with very little fuel, drive as slowly as possible, switch off the air-conditioning and keep the windows closed.
